A Chorus Within Her

Theater Alliance asked me to create a Behind the Scenes series of their most recent theatrical project, A Chorus Within Her. They had a ton of footage, including audio of the choreopoems from the project, footage of the performers in tech and rehearsals, and interviews with the creators. I worked with Kelly Colburn to mold the content into four videos that chronicled the unique devising method of the project, released weekly during Giving Season.

House Specials

It was very fun doing a few drawings for Jess Bidgood & Sarah Belfort’s Quartine Zine, House Specials, what a perfect way to make the best of the lockdown!

Jokers New Years Association

It’s not every day you get to film a Fancy Brigade of Mummers for their New Years theatrical Extravaganzas! We filmed them on a greenscreen and we’ll turn them into Ghosts for their performance in Philly at the Convention Center on January 1st.

Remember the Ladies

Kind of a unique project for Quince and very up my alley, i’m super proud of this small but impactful design I was a part of at the National Archives. Using drawings commissioned by the Archives of the Founding Mothers, we projected their portraiture overtop of the mural hanging above the Constitution, reminding viewers that behind ever great man there is a great woman.

Remnants

I contributed to Orange Grove Dance's new project Remnants, which premiered at the Kennedy Center on Sunday, March 11.  I worked with Matt to design the two projection systems and program the video. In addition to original video created by Matt Reees, the project included content I created for Orange Grove Dance's previous work, Waking Darkness. Waiting Light.

Remnants is a bridge to the stories that we have been told since we were young and the places we have still never touched. This Orange Grove Dance world premiere takes audiences on a mytho-poetic and dream-like journey that physically conjures up the visual metaphors of the inexhaustible burning hope of the human spirit. What does it mean to start over? What are the things we carry? What survives within us? What is left behind?
